Position Summary Performs routine vocational rehabilitation responsibilities involving the evaluation of an employee’s disability and job duties; provides advice to supervisors on services or supervisory techniques that will lead toward successful employment of people with disabilities; assists in monitoring progress and needs of employees with disabilities.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist developmentally disabled employees in a Light Assembly manufacturing work environment. Be able to routinely write up Case Management Notes in working with the Developmentally Disabled employees. Troubleshoot any work-related issues. Work in cooperation as a team with the Light Assembly Floor Production Coordinator.

Essential Functions

1. Implements rehabilitation plans and assists the supervisor and/or others in ensuring that employees with disabilities understand his/her job responsibilities and safety/ergonomics requirements; assists light assembly employees in a pre-vocational/production setting; provides appropriate support to ensure their safety and welfare;
2. May act as liaison between Company supervisors/management and light assembly employees; assists supervisory personnel in working with light assembly employees; assists in training and monitoring light assembly employee needs and employment goals; maintains appropriate records as may be required;
3. May assist or be required to maintain policies, procedures, files/records on light assembly employees, to include assistance or intervention provided;
4. Exercises judgment/discretion on a normal and recurring basis in the day-to-day performance of duties; requires integrity due to confidentiality of employee information;
5. May assist in orienting light assembly employees on Company policies, rules, employee handbook and production requirements;
6. Must be able to adhere to and follow all safety procedures and use appropriate PPE as required;
7. Performs other job related duties as assigned.
