POSITION SUMMARY
Directly supports and assists Arcadia Operations Manager in the day-to-day operations of Light Assembly area; assists with schedules and material handling to expedite production; adheres to production schedules and advises Arcadia Operations Manager of changes; ensures Quality Control standards are adhered to on a consistent basis; assists and accommodates employees as needed; documents significant events for respective employees with disabilities; monitors employee safety.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Review material needs and production schedule in coordination with Arcadia Operations Manager in order to assist with scheduling and priorities for specific work orders; collects and maintains production data.
2. Expedites production ensuring a continual work flow; assist with setup of daily workstations for employees.
3. Monitors progress of work providing assistance to employees with disabilities, including help with personal care issues.
4. Serves as the lead to Quality Control (QC), inspecting products, ensuring quality requirements are continuously met; responsible for the final quality control of all products.
5. Trained in forklift operation; operating a forklift for purpose of material handling; must be able to manually lift and move 30-50# material and product on a regular basis.
6. Advise Arcadia Operations Manager of any employee needs as they arise; may suggest modifications to work area to facilitate efficiency of employees;
7. May participate in safety and other committees to provide input relative to employee safety and productivity.
8. Must adhere to and follow all safety procedures, i.e., lock-out/tag-out; report safety concerns and use appropriate PPE as required;
9. Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent is required; two (2) years minimum experience in an industrialized setting; CNA a plus, and/or experience working with individuals with disabilities; must communicate effectively with all employees; position may require the ability to communicate effectively in Spanish (TX).
