Inside, Climashield continuous filament insulation provides superior loft, warmth, and durability compared to standard fill materials. The stitching and construction match military-issued standards, giving you the same trusted performance used in the field.
Originally developed for U.S. Army troops in the 1960s, the woobie has earned its reputation for versatility and comfort. Use it as a poncho liner, blanket, sleeping bag, ground cover, or improvised shelter. It’s lightweight, packable, quick-drying, and ready for anything.
Each poncho liner ships with a certificate of authenticity verifying it meets official military specifications.
I purchased the all black version. I have a military issue poncho liner bought at a PX in the 90s. It’s never been compressed or abused. This updated version clearly has more loft right out of the package. It hasn’t been outside but is noticeably warmer in the house. Excellent sewing and materials. Climashield doesn’t require quilting but I think the choice of wide vertical channels will help with durability with moderate compression of the fill. Great all around outdoor blanket and worth the price for improvements and continued USA manufacturing.
