Inside, Climashield continuous filament insulation provides superior loft, warmth, and durability compared to standard fill materials. The stitching and construction match military-issued standards, giving you the same trusted performance used in the field.

I served in the Army for 20 years and I know how a woobie feels. ORC Industries provides the real thing. They are silky smooth soft and warm. I replaced my bed sheet with one of several woobies I bought so I can have them in a wash rotation. I loved them in the service and I love them now!
This is my go-to gear item for adventure travel when I'm looking for a little more warmth in a wide variety of circumstances. Packs amazingly small...I've gotten mine into a 5L Sea-to-Summit stuff sack. Tight fit, but that's about as small as you can make it. Super tough, quality construction and the fabric/lining doesn't slide as easily as others I've tried. Easily covers a queen size bed when traveling. I also like the fact that it is easily machine-washable, made in the USA and, the Real Deal!
I purchased the all black version. I have a military issue poncho liner bought at a PX in the 90s. It’s never been compressed or abused. This updated version clearly has more loft right out of the package. It hasn’t been outside but is noticeably warmer in the house. Excellent sewing and materials. Climashield doesn’t require quilting but I think the choice of wide vertical channels will help with durability with moderate compression of the fill. Great all around outdoor blanket and worth the price for improvements and continued USA manufacturing.
